Happy almost spring to everyone! The weather has been amazing here! It''s been in the mid 60''s and sunny for the past two weeks...
Just wanted to give you all a little update on everyone...
John is working hard and is super busy with work. He loves his job and is so good at what he does!
Cash is turning into such a little boy. He loves trucks and has a blast in the car. He screams GUCK GUCK GUCK every time he sees any sort of truck. Its really funny. Cash loves to play outside can almost reach the peddles on his big wheels. He is going to be terrorizing the court in no time.
Rider is the same weight as Cash. He is a big boy, but is the sweetest baby that John and I have ever met! He is growing up so fast and is on his way (slowly) to crawling. Rider thinks that Cash is so funny and really loves him! I can''t wait for Cash and Rider to start really playing together. It''s going to be a ton of fun!
I''m doing wonderful and couldn''t imagine my life without my two incredible babies and the most loving hubby ever!
I hope everyone is doing great! We think about you all a lot! Enjoy the new pics. More to come...
Hi everyone! We hope everyone is having a happy and healthy new year.
It has been a fun couple of months in our house! Rider is sitting up by himself, LOVES to eat, and thinks Cash is the greatest thing in the whole world. Cash is wild! He goes non stop from when he wakes up till bedtime, and hates to eat. There are just so many more fun things to do than sit down at the table. Rider weighs 18 lbs at 6 mths (he is a bruiser) and Cash weighs about 20.5 at 17 months (he is a little peanut). Its funny how two kids from the same parents can be so different. They are both so much fun!
John and I are both very busy at work and are enjoying this Colorado winter. It''s crazy here...it snows one day, then is warm the next. This weekend and next week, it''s supposed to be in the mid to high 50''s!! YAY!!
We hope everyone is doing great! we will try to get some more pics up soon! They grow up so fast!
Just got a second to update the pictures from the past month and a half. We hope you all enjoy them!
Everything is going great out here in CO. Fall is starting to set in up in the mountains, and I''m still holding onto the warm days we are having in Denver. I''m not quite ready for snow yet :-) John is though!!
Here is a little update on everyone...
John is doing great! He is heading out to CA this weekend for his buddy Josh''s wedding and for some business at the North Face Corporate office. He is now a sales manager for the North Face and is doing an awesome job! We are all so proud of him!!
I''m still working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. I think I have perfected the concept of "multi-tasking". It''s great to get to spend time with the kids during the week!
Cash is almost 14 months going on 14 years. His hair is growing like a weed and I can''t come to grips with getting it trimmed :-) He looks so darn cute! He loves daycare and playing with all of his friends. His favorite friends are the older boys who run around with him all day long. He has adjusted to Rider better then we could have ever imagined. He loves to kiss and hug and give Rider lots of lovin! He pretty much gets into anything and everything, and we wouldn''t have it any other way!
Rider, is growing everyday! He LOVES to eat (as you can see) and is a great sleeper!! He''s our little porkchop!! He smiles all the time and is trying to laugh! He is so cute!! We think in a couple of months he is going to weigh more than Cash. He loves daycare as well, and Dena and Carolyn love him tons too! We got very lucky! They are such great people!
Hope everyone is doing awesome! We will try to be better about getting pics up on the site :-)
Hello Everyone!! Rider Russell has arrived, happy and healthy...Sara is doing great as well. Rider put up a big fight coming out; he made Sara push for an entire 7 minutes - Sara is unbelievably cool under pressure; and the toughest person I know.
Rider looks exactly like Cash, but doesn''t act like Cash did in his first day on Earth...Rider is quiet as a mouse. He''s cried twice during shots and once during the Dr checkup - that''s it. He likes to sleep, he''s eating incredibly well and boy is he CUTE!! He did enjoy the MLB Home Run Derby, he watched the whole thing...we''ll have to cure him of that "baseball" disease early - we''re a lacrosse family (sorry Dad)!
Aunt Jiggsy and Uncle Scotty brought Cash in to meet his new little brother and he had a ball - he was very inquisitive and wanted to play. Uncle Scotty is painting Rider''s room as we speak while Aunt Jiggsy watches over Cash - we''ll be heading home tomorrow.
Well, Rider is almost 24 hours old; he was born at 1:02am on July 14, 2008 at a whopping 5lbs 14oz and is 19in tall - he''s so tiny that when I saw Cash it made him look huge, and that takes a lot.
We have a beautiful new home to bring Rider home to; to put it into perspective, Cash is 11 months old and he''s already had three addresses...we plan on being in our new home for a while!
Jammi, G, Gram, Grandad and Uncle Jeff are all coming out in 3 weeks for Cash''s first B-Day - we can''t wait!!
We love you all,
John, Sara, Cash, Rider, Jazzy, Cody, Kauai and Miller
12 days until my brother or sister is due! and less than a month until I turn 1!!! I can''t wait!!! My mama and papa are planning a fun party for me. We have finally settled into our new house in Littleton and we all love it so much! It feels like home! Ever since I was in my mama''s belly we have been moving around Colorado. Now we have our own house. I even have a really big sandbox and swingset. I promise we will get some recent pics and videos up soon. There are some great videos of me running around the house! I hope everyone is having a great summer....
PS...When NewB is born we will be sharing this website so you can keep up with the both of us
Just wanted to share with everyone what''s been going on with me....
I''m walking (more like running) all over the place. I think I probably walk 80% of the time now. And I''m super fast! I love climbing stairs and opening all the cabinets in the house. There are so many fun things to check out! I''ve been trying to say "dog" but only "daw" comes out. I''m working on it though. My first birthday is coming up quickly and my Jammy and G, Grams and Grandad, and my Uncle Jeff are coming out to help me celebrate. It will be so much fun to see all of them. They are going to be shocked to see how much I''ve grown. I''m still a little peanut though....about 2 weeks ago, I weighed 16.4 lbs. I''m using my sippy cup a lot more, and love ice cream! I''ve been to Red Rocks to see some shows and we get to see Widespread Panic this Sat for Papa''s birthday. I saw them play last October and had fun. This time around I''ll be able to dance a lot better
:-). Red Rocks is such a GREAT place to see concerts!
My Mama and Papa bought me a new house in Littleton, CO. We just moved in this past weekend, and we all love it SO MUCH! I''ll try to get them to put pics up soon....we have 25 kids that live on our court and when I get a little older I''m going to have lots of friends to play with.
My new brother or sister is due in less than a month. i can''t wait to meet him/her. My Aunt Jiggsy is going to watch me when my parents are in the hospital. I''m learning how to play gentle with the puppies so i can be a big help with the new baby! I can''t wait to have a friend to play with everyday.
A lot has changed since the last time mama wrote. I can go anywhere I want to now, since I''m crawling. And I go everywhere :-) Can''t take your eyes off of me for a second. I can stand by myself for a long time and even took a couple steps the other day..... I can''t wait to walk! I''m so close!
We have done a lot of fun things since the last time we wrote. My grams came to visit, we''ve taken some really fun road trips all over Colorado, and we go to watch papa play lacrosse every weekend. He is doing awesome and I love clapping for him.
I have two bottom teeth now and love eating all kinds of things! My favorite is papa''s chicken off the grill!
This morning I went with papa back to the East Coast. He had some North Face business to take care of and I am getting to visit with Jammy/G and Grams/Grandad. I''m having a great time, but I know mama is excited to have papa and me back home on Wed :-)
Well, less than 3 months till I''m a big brother. Can''t wait!
Almost 8 months~ time flies when your having an awesome time!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather! We have had a busy couple of weeks.... i started crawling about a week after I turned 7 months and now I''m faster than lightening! I love to pull myself up and walk around the coffee table and couch. I can also stand by myself for a while. Mama and papa said they were going to start timing me! I have a feeling am going to be walking in no time! There are just way too many things to explore! My Jammy and G were out visiting and we had so much fun. We went and saw the Easter Bunny, went to the St. Patrick''s Day parade, celebrated my Uncle Scotty''s 21st birthday, and went to Crested Butte for Easter. They have gotten over 600 inches of snow this year! I even tried a bite of cake... Anyway, it''s tons of fun to be mobile and I can''t wait to start walking. I practice everyday! It''s almost kayaking season and we are going to go watch Papa play in the rivers! I can''t wait to go with him, I love the water!
I hope everyone is doing great and hopefully nice weather is making it''s way towards you! P.S. Less then 4 months until my baby sis or brother comes to see us!
I''m almost 7 months. My mom and dad can''t believe it! I got my first tooth 2 weeks ago and got my second tooth last week. I love to eat cheerios and all sorts of fruits and veggies! I love playing with all of my toys in my pack n play and just sitting on the floor. I sit up all by myself and love to roll around the floor. Papa is practicing standing with me. I can stand by myself for a couple of seconds and love to stand holding onto the coffee table. No crawling yet.....My mama and papa take me to the park and I love to swing! We are going down to Florida on Sunday to see my grandparents and I get to go on my first boat ride! I can''t wait! I hope everyone is doing great and getting ready for spring. I know I am!!! Can''t wait to see everyone soon!
PS- only 4.5 months till my baby brother or sister comes :-)
Tomorrow I turn 6 months old! Today my mama, papa, and I went to the pool. I''ve been swimming once before, but this time was awesome!! I got to float on my belly and my back and we all went under water a lot! I can''t wait to join the swim team! My papa even took me down the water slide (lots of times). The pics that are up are when we first got in the pool. I was a little nervous, but after a couple of minutes I was swimming like a fish! I love going under water. I was even trying to blow bubbles. We are going to go swimming a lot and soon I''ll be doing it on my own. I also love walking in my walker across the kitchen floor. That is the only place without carpet or I would be all over the house. I love standing up by myself and holding onto the coffee table. No teeth yet, but I love eating carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, and tons of fruit. Bath time is still my favorite and so is playing games and singing with my mama and papa. I hope everyone is having a great year so far and I''ll make sure to keep smiling for the camera and learning new things. Love to all!
Just wanted to show everyone a couple of really cool pics that we took this past weekend. We were in Ourey, CO for the ice climbing festival. It was a ton of fun! I think I want to be an ice climber when I grow up! The men, women, and kids climbing were awesome and very inspiring! I''m starting to eat more foods like pears, apples, bananas, sweet potatoes, carrots, and squash. I haven''t tried them all yet, but am very excited to. I really like to hold the spoon myself and try to put the food in my mouth. Most of the time I am very successful :-) My mom told me that my little brother or sister is 14 weeks old. I''m so excited to meet him or her. I hope everyone is having a great winter!
Hi Everyone! I hope everyone is having a great 2008!. I just turned 5 months old on Friday and am growing tons! Today my mom and dad are going to feed me carrots for the first time. OH boy!! I''m getting really good at siting up by myself and I love to practice walking. I''ll be walking in no time! I went to my first ice hockey game last night and LOVED it. I love watching football and basketball too. Just like my papa! I love to laugh and giggle and talk to myself :-) Well, catch you guys later. Have a great week!
I just turned 4 months yesterday, and tried my first solid food tonight! I didn''t like it very much, but I''m sure that eventually I will learn to love it! I just learned to roll from my belly to my back too... I will be running around soon enough! I am very excited to go back to Baltimore for Christmas and meet everyone! Happy Holidays!
This has been a week of firsts for me. I just had my 3 month old birthday on Sat, I gave Mama and Papa my first belly giggle, and I might be getting my first tooth soon. Everyone says this is early, but my Papa got his when he was really young. I have a little bit of white that is poking out out of my gum. It hurts a lot! My favorite time is still bathtime and I''m almost sleeping through the night. I just took my first trip down to New Mexico. I''ve been all over Colorado and Wyoming, so this trip was new and exciting. I hope everyone had a happy Halloween. I know I did in my pumpkin outfit! Love to all! Can''t wait to see you soon.
I hope everyone likes my new pictures! My mom and dad can''t believe how big I am getting. I just turned 12 weeks on Saturday! Check back soon, cause I''m going to be a pumpkin for Halloween! I hope to meet everyone soon!
11 weeks ago today, Cash was born. How the time flies!!! At 11 weeks, Cash has the sweetest and BIGGEST grin I think I have ever seen. We hve gotten a few giggles out of him and are waiting anxiously for his first belly laugh. I can see him thinking about it everytime I tickle his feet (He definitely gets his gets that from me). He loves to talk back when you talk to him. It might be the cutest thing ever!!! His neck and core are very strong and he loves to look at everything and everyone. He is such a sweetheart and gets more adorable everyday! Can you tell that I''m a proud mama?! Anyway, Cash can''t wait to meet everyone and John and I are so excted to come back to MD and visit. We hope everyone is doing great!
Little Cash is doing great! He has started to respond to lights and noises, and best of all, he recognizes people. His smile is contagious, and I promise there will be some recent pictures up ASAP! He has managed to make it to 4 shows at Red Rocks already, and many more to come! He is growing like a weed, weighing in at just over 9 lbs on 9/19/07. We can''t wait for everyone to meet him, and he can''t wait to meet y''all!
Cash Davis McDonnell has arrived!! He came to us at 2:14am weighing 6lbs 6ozs and about 22 inches tall...he looks like a lacrosse player, probably a middie! He is happy, healthy and VERY CUTE!!
Sara did an amazing job during the delivery and is already the proudest Mom you will ever see! Sara is one tough cookie; I never saw her sweat, not once - she just took care of business!
We would love to tell you some kind of cool story about the name Cash, but we don''t have one...the cool story is about his middle name Davis. Since many of you folks checking this out, don''t know my Aunt Syl and Uncle Sam (Sylvia and Sam Davis), let me tell you about them. Aunt Syl, my Mom''s sister, is an awesome lady, Aunt, Mom, Grandma and is one of those rare people that once you meet, you''ll never forget it. I think it''s her smile and the warmth that it brings. Uncle Sam passed on several years back, but we never pass up the opportunity to talk about him; he loved to have a good time, he loved to party; no matter what. We''ve heard some of the same stories a million times and they make you laugh out loud every single time. So between Auny Syl''s smile and Uncle Sam''s love for a great time - Davis just had to be a part of Cash. We picked Cash, because we love it and it sounds great with Davis. There''s the scoop on Cash Davis.
We''re heading home tomorrow sometime to introduce the little guy to our farmyard of animals - we can''t wait!!
Ok, so the due date is on Monday and John and I are anxiously awaiting! Just wanted to let everyone know that LB hasn''t arrived yet and that I will be walking everywhere this weekend and eating REALLY spicy foods :-)
I''m told that it will happen when the little munchkin is ready, so until then, John and I will be practicing the most difficult virtue ever....PATIENCE
Hi everyone. So we just hit our 36 week mark. Now that LB is full term (according to the doctor), he/she can be born at anytime, SAFELY!! We made it!! Just wanted to give everyone the heads up. John and I can''t wait to meet our little one! We will have the internet in the recovery room in the hospital, so hopefully we can get pics out to everyone right away. We can''t wait to find out if LB is a boy or a girl....it''s been a very long surprise!!
Either way, we are just hoping for a healthy, happy baby!!!
I would like to introduce everyone to LB!! Yippee - Sara and I are so excited; I can''t describe the feeling I had when I was looking at LB for the first time! We were both rendered speechless...
I am no longer speechless, in fact quite the opposite, so let me tell you about it. Sara had to drink a lot of water before the ultrasound and she had to pee badly. The Dr even said the reason Sara had to ''go'' so bad was that LB was ''tap-dancing'' on Sara''s bladder. She said that LB is a dancer, she had a difficult time getting the pictures she needed because he/she was moving around so much - there were even a few moments when LB was staring right at us. We saw LB laying on his/her stomach, on his/her back, on his/her side, stretched out, curled up in a ball and doing somersaults!
''LB1'' is probably the best picture in terms of seeing LB...Sara and my co-workers say that LB has my nose and mouth!! This same picture is the third picture in ''LB ALL'' in which you can actually see LB smiling and waving to you!! LB is adorable, so darn adorable!!
Sara and LB are both healthy, healthy, healthy!!! It took the Dr a while, but they saw a healthy heart, a big brain, two arms, two legs...and they left out anything else they may have seen - if you know what I mean!! They say everything looks great!!
We love you all very much and we miss you - you can expect the next ''newsletter'' in the next week or two!
Hi ALL! Sara and I had such a fun weekend and we took some pictures so that we could share it with everyone. Most of the pictures are from Sunday; we started with a lacrosse game at 11am (the day after St Patty''s Day) and then we came home and decided to hike up to the top of our mountain. Douglas Mountain is about 9000 feet with a view in every direction, and about 700 vertical feet from our house, which is not far - so it is fairly steep and Sara crushed it!! The puppies had fun finding snow piles in shady areas and we found some kind of ground cactus and a plant that feels like fleece; it was really neat. So here is the latest info; expect my next newsletter in a few weeks!! Love to all!!
Yesterday, Feb 25, 2007 John and I climbed 47 flights of stairs to benefit the American Lung Association of Colorado. It was called "Run the Register" and we climbed the stairs of the Wells Fargo building in downtown Denver. We participated with John''s co-workers from The North Face to raise money for a co-worker who was diagnosed with lung cancer at age 26. What an adventure we had. John, myself, and the little munchkin made it up the stairs in 15 minutes (I''m still shocked), of course with the support and encougaging words of the proud daddy to be :-) John helped me so much!!! We are both very proud of ourselves and are going to put our medals in the baby book. It was indead our little one''s first climb :-)
